Description

Barber Advanced Design Camp is the next step for rising 7th-9th grade innovators ready to take their skills to the next level! Building on the foundation of Design Camp, students will deepen their experience with computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modeling, and 3D printing while exploring engineering and robotics through the lens of motorsports. Set against the inspiring backdrop of the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and Park, students will tackle real-world design challenges inspired by motorsports - refining ideas, testing solutions, and iterating like true engineers. This weeklong experience is perfect for curious problem-solvers ready to engineer boldly, design with purpose, and push their creativity into high gear!

The camp will be held July 13-17th, from 9 am to 4 pm each day, with options for early drop-off and late pick-up. The cost for museum members is $325 per student and the cost for nonmembers is $375 per student. Registration for this program will close on June 21, 2026, or when the camp is full, whichever occurs first. Snacks and water will be provided each day, but campers will be asked to bring their own lunch. We only have 15 spots available, so sign up today!

For questions or assistance with registration, please contact Dr. Liz Johnson at education@barbermuseum.org or call 205-702-8729.
